Cables

Sample entry: this shows the kind of garage door or gate job we handle. The photo and details are illustrative, not a record of a specific customer job.
One side of a single-car door hung lower than the other after a lift cable frayed at the bottom bracket. New cables and a bracket check brought it level again.
The problem
The door had started closing at an angle, leaving a gap on the left side. Road salt had rusted the left bottom bracket, and the cable had frayed where it wrapped around the bracket pin. The alley was shared, so the door couldn't stay half-open for long.
What we did
- Secured the door and released spring tension
- Replaced both lift cables and the corroded bottom bracket
- Rewound the cables evenly on the drums and reset spring tension
- Checked roller alignment and tested the door through several cycles
The result
The door now closes flat against the floor on both sides. The new bracket and cables are free of rust, and the bottom seal touches the slab across the full width again.
